Gregory R. Schaaf invited to join American College of Bankruptcy

November 6, 2009

LEXINGTON, KY:  Gregory R. Schaaf has been invited to become a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy (ACB), an honorary association of bankruptcy and insolvency professionals.  Schaaf is one of only a few Kentucky-based professionals invited for membership in ACB.

Membership in ACB is by invitation only.  Nominees for Fellows are extended an invitation to join based on a record of achievement in the insolvency process by professionals who have distinguished themselves in their practice and in their contribution to the insolvency field.  Fellows are each selected by a Board of Regents from among recommendations of the Circuit Admissions Council in each federal judicial circuit and specially appointed Committees for Judicial and International Fellows.

Schaaf resides in Greenebaum’s Lexington office and is a member of the Tax and Finance Practice Group and the Bankruptcy and Workout Team Co-Chair.  He concentrates his practice on commercial transactions and handles commercial reorganizations, including bankruptcies and workouts.  Schaaf was a CPA prior to his work at Greenebaum and spent two years as a solicitor in London, England.  Schaaf has represented large and small debtors, creditors, creditors' committees and lessors/lessees in anticipation of, and after, the filing of bankruptcy petitions.
